This noodle strainer was made by the Tsubame based firm Sampo Sangyō.

This is round bottomed noodle strainer is of the type you would observe in Japanese restaurant and home kitchens. The top hook and angled metal slide allows it to perch on the side of a hot water pan, while the wooden handle enables you to quickly retrieve the noodle load.
Originally intended for udon in its perforation pattern, it could be used for ramen and other types of noodles too. It brings something of the profession noodle kitchen to a home setting.
The strainer is 13cm in diameter, and has 15.cm depth. The handle length is 20cm. Overall it weights 319g.
